The recall affects certain 2019-2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups, as well as 2020-2023 Cadillac CT4 and CT5 sedans.

The issue stems from a software error that can cause the brake fluid warning light to illuminate even when the brake fluid level is full. This could lead drivers to believe that their brake fluid is low and needs to be refilled, when in fact it does not.

Issue:
